♥ iKitty ♥
iKitty gives users a pet that they can carry around in their pockets.

"an adorable cat" Peter Cohen, Macworld.com ★★★★★

Cats. You either love them or you hate them. Whichever side of that issue you stand, the iKitty app is perfect for you because you can either show the kitty some TLC, or torment the poor little thing.

Cat lovers will not be able to resist the cute little orange tabby with the enormous eyes. He lays there on his back, exposing his white underbelly to show users that he trusts them and is ready to play and be adored. Go ahead and pet that little tummy, or his chest, neck and ears while you’re there and iKitty will reward you with a happy purr to show his appreciation. Of course, if it’s his belly you’re rubbing, there may be a belch, as well.

Once you’ve loved up the front of the kitten, flip him over and pet his back. iKitty will probably be so happy that he’ll purr himself to sleep. When that happens, you can let him continue to nap or you can shake your iPhone and wake him up for some more fun.

The iKitty app lets users interactively play with their iPhone pet. This cat is crafty, though. Once you touch his upper paw, you set off a game of sequencing that iKitty has control over. He’ll dictate the order and you have to follow his lead by tapping iKitty’s paws in the exact sequence he shows you. You’ll have to pay attention because iKitty amps up the speed and number of required taps as he goes.

These are the ways that you can show iKitty that you love him:
* Cuddle him with lots of loving pets on his chest, neck, ears and back
* Play the paw game with him
* Scratch his belly or fanny to help him pass gas
* Don’t do any of the things that the mean cat haters do to him

Now, if you are of the other persuasion – a cat hater - don’t worry because you’ll get a lot of enjoyment out of iKitty, too. If you poke poor kitty in the eye, he’ll yelp and bare his fangs to indicate his extreme displeasure. Pulling his tail or petting his back fur against the grain won’t endear you to him, nor will swinging him around by his tail or dropping him on his head but if it makes you happy....

Here is a list of nasty tricks that cat haters like to play on poor iKitty:
* Poke iKitty in one or both eyes
* Pull iKitty by the tail or pet his back against the grain
* Blow into the kitten’s bottom (by blowing into iPhone mic)
* Turn the iPhone upside down and drop iKitty on his head
* Shake the iPhone to wake iKitty from a sound sleep
* Swing iKitty in circles through the air by rotating an extended arm

If you want to incur the wrath of iKitty, just try any of these things. He may look all sweet and harmless but this kind of stuff makes him grumpy and he’ll let you know about it. Tick iKitty off too much and he’ll close down the app. That means he doesn’t want to play with you, anymore. Of course, he’s pretty forgiving and will give you another chance to be nice when you open up the app again.

Naturally, iKitty likes to eat. You can hand feed him cat treats and drops of water. Just like a real cat, if you feed him he’ll be your friend, even if you’ve been mean to him.

Cat lover or cat hater, how can you resist adorable little iKitty? Won’t you give him a home, now?
