Sanskrit is one of the oldest languages and is regarded as the language of the Gods. Sanskrit is the language used for a large corpus of Hindu, Buddhist and Jain religious texts. Sanskrit literature encompasses a large and rich tradition of poetry, drama, scientific and philosophical works. While translations are available for most of these texts, it is most satisfying to obtain this knowledge directly from the primary sources.

Hinduism Today magazine rates this as a must-have app: ".....Sanskrit Primer is a boon for Sanskrit students. Containing easy reference guides to grammar and terminology, with accompanying audio pronunciation files, this app is a must-have for anyone looking for a convenient pocket reference guide....."

Sanskrit Teacher *****
This is a fantastic application. I have taught Sanskrit to yoga students and others all around the U.S. and Europe and I would have loved to have this app when I was first studying. Even now, I find it to be an incredibly valuable app. It goes from simple understanding of the alphabet, through all the most important information of noun declensions, verb conjugations, prefix, suffix, indeclinables, even many basic conversational sentences. If you're not sure of the pronunciation it even has audio for that. I would HIGHLY recommend this application for ANYONE interested in Sanskrit! I was totally amazed by the amount and depth of information. Literally hundreds of pages. Even basic vocabulary pages, and much, much more. Well worth 10 times the price!

great to learn samskrtam on the go *****
i deeply appreciate the thought and effort that has gone into this application. it will take you through from the beginning to a good level of understanding the language. it's been great on train rides and when i was in between places to keep learning devabhasha or what is called the divine language. it is called this as it is a perfectly ordered and perfectly intelligently language and has not changed nor will it ever as the structure is perfect. so all kudos to this wonderful application and may there be many more applications in this light. namaste. hari aum.

Superb!!! *****
This is an excellent app for anyone wanting to get started with and get the basics down of Sanskrit. It's obvious the developer spent countless hours formulating the audio and text. Very detailed! The audio clips and the appendix are truly handy and makes it so much easier to use this as a ready reference. There is nothing like this out there. Great job!!!

Handy App *****
The material is very well researched and organized. It's an excellent introduction to the language. Great job!!!

Excellent App *****
Just love the app. I studied Sanskrit from my high school until college. Though I still understand the language and the basic mechanics of it, I had forgotten quite a bit of the nuances and this app does a wonderful job of reminding me all of that!....

Great tribute to the mother of all languages *****
