Frong shoots out his tongue at wooden platforms or a hanging caterpillar (the player just taps on them to have him anchor his tongue) to slingshot himself higher and higher (the longer he has to reach with his tongue the bigger sling shot effect you'll get). So in this game you're earning points not only for how high you make it before meeting your demise but how you do it with bonus points given for performing flips and really long shots up into space. While this all sounds simple enough, the game is actually fairly brutal as there are so many ways for Frong to meet his end:

1) The most obvious being failing to connect to the next platform in time and falling.
2) The second most likely cause of your demise will be grabbing one of the two BAD platforms (a frozen one and a sticky one) that will spell immediate death for Frong.
3) Then there is swinging over a "tree hallow" (you know, the little tree caves that owls and squirrels make their homes from) which in this game are almost akin to black holes that will spell instant death for the frog.
4) Finally there is a more slow death by bumping into too many hornets (each time he bumps one they'll sting away one of his hearts) and "tree paws" (at the end of the tree's many branches are little hands that will grab at our hapless frog). Once Frong loses all of his hearts he'll die.

Something worth noting but I can't claim I actually understand quite yet, is that as you ascend up the tree once in a while you will see a heart flickering along the way which I'm assuming IF you can get Frong to pass over while solid you'll add it to your life but they seem to flicker on and off so quickly I can't tell if I ever get them or not (you may want to tweak this effect a bit to make it at least more clear when a heart is successfully grabbed).

The game records all sorts of statistics INCLUDING whether you've won or not so. Evidently, unlike Doodle Jump there is an eventual end (I'm assuming getting so high you are finally past the tree trunk running along the right side of the screen the whole game), but as the game shows you on the end statistics screen, I see I have barely scratched the surface with even my best runs (maybe getting about 10% of the total tree height so far).

Very nice arcade with interesting twists in gameplay.
Complex control with good physics will make you think and gives you many hours of interesting time-kill.
One of the best games on my iPod.
