David Plasters is an updated way to see the classic David plasters. These models were created from scan data of the plasters you can buy in stores. Artist Michael Defeo resculpted the scan data to more accurately match the original Michelangelo's David. There are also color maps that the viewer can turn on to see a graphical outline and topology of each form, to better understand the complex relation of the forms .
In addition to better sculptural detail than any actual plaster you can buy, Michael extended the boundaries of the original plasters to cross over to the adjacent area. This allows for a better understanding of the forms and how they relate to their neighboring forms.
