Features:

Phonological Awareness

The ability to hear and manipulate the sound structure of language. This is an encompassing term that involves working with the sounds of language at the word, syllable, and phoneme level. The most recent update diminishes the vowel sound so that the user is able to hear the single letter phoneme we are teaching. We found that leaving a vowel sound at the end of each phoneme allows the user to understand sound differences at basic level. The rap song includes the vowel sound because iMouf uses the phonemes and vowels to sing. DISCLAIMER: If your child is in Speech Therapy please note that when your child is learning sound discrimination at a phoneme level the vowel sound is NOT included. Thank you and have fun with this app!

Virtual Speech Therapy

Learning sound differences is a critical step for reading, writing and spelling. iMouf, another way to say iMouth, is here to help! Create and learn with iMouf and Twinkle Star! Increase your child’s attention and concentration as well as independence.

Learn Sound Differences

The purpose of learning sound differences is to develop awareness of what the mouth, vocal chords and ears do when learning sounds. Sound differences is the foundation of learning for reading, writing and spelling.
Vocal and Mouth Feature

Did you know that sounds make the same mouth shape but some sounds just need air and other sounds need voice? Let iMouf and Twinkle Star help children understand the features that make sounds.

Real Life Environments

We all are busy and have no time to work so lets take learning to the grocery store, park, swimming pool and spend 5 minutes practicing speech sounds! Make learning fun on the run!

Dance and Rap

Dance and rap while learning sound differences. Use the right side of your brain and sing while learning! The song will stick to your head and you can sing and learn while you are in the car or just hanging out at home.

Record Own Speech

Listening to your own speech increases self monitoring and independence with learning and makes learning fun! Recording your speech will help you identify the mistakes so you can practice making the sounds correctly!
