The Outcast
The Outcast is a new passive adventure game where you'll explore a vast and dangerous world through a unique story system that unfolds at your own pace.
While most games require hours and hours of your time, The Outcast features a new way to experience a game, one where the game tells you when something big has happened.
You may be walking around, eating lunch, or reading an article when you'll be notified that something happened in The Outcast. When you go in, you'll find out what happened and make decisions that determine the outcome.
You maybe ambushed by a patrol, do you bribe them? Or maybe you come across a shrine, do you pay your respects, or steal when no one is looking.
Our ultimate plan is to make The Outcast a place where each day you'll explore the world, meet its inhabitants, and make decisions that impact the world.

What's new in Version 0.3
After weeks of implementing your feedback (and more), Team Simple Machine is absolutely thrilled to bring you the next step in The Outcast.
You told us what you wanted. We listened ... but we just couldn't stop there.
We redesigned the app from the ground up featuring stunning and vibrant images that will submerge you into the world of The Outcast along with a stark sleek interface. This isn't just an update, it's a completely new and revolutionary way to experience a whole world in your pocket.
We added a new community portal (the white gear in the top left) so you can communicate with us and we can communicate with you. Here you can find out about important updates, watch videos, see the journey we've been taking to get here in the images section (ever wonder what the first version of The Outcast looked like?), and most importantly email us!
We added a falcon pet you can find ... one of you asked for it ;)
We added the inventory screen and the journal. See what you're carrying around in that backpack, or see what's happened so far if you missed a step.
We added some new events and zones. For those new to The Outcast, so far it's all been totally random. Now, there are two new events that will take a few days to complete, and they're not random. We won't spoil it for you, but there are definitely some surprises and we can't wait to hear what you think.
We rebuilt the entire narrative system ... seriously. This isn't a visible change, but it will mean that we can get new content expansions to you so much faster. It will also mean that in the future you'll be able to write your own story using the same system.
We made a new icon ... because.
And our biggest update ... we've found so many new fans!! This is a big big thank you to all of you who have stuck with it believing in what we can do. This is a big step now, but nothing compared to what we're planning, so keep on sharing it with friends and sending us your thoughts and ideas.
