What's new in Version 3.4.1
New

◆ User management (eg. availability notifications, ignore user) is now accessible from the toolbar at all times. These settings can be changed on or off-line.
◆ A new notification type 'User's Next Post'. You can now get a notification when a user next posts. After being triggered, this notification automatically switches itself off. For users that never log off, this is a good way of catching them when they become active. It can be set in the user management popover, or in the user options (accessed by tapping on a username).
◆ Different notification sounds can now be selected for availability 'join' events, and availability 'leave'-type events (quit, part, kick).
◆ Now supports iOS 10 local notifications. (Previous to iOS 10, local notifications were only delivered for apps running in the background).
◆ iOS notifications now have several actions available by swiping down on the notification(iOS 10 only). Depending on the source of the notification, you can:-
- 'Reply' directly from a notification to a private message without leaving the channel you're in.
- 'Respond' to events such as someone joining (eg. "hi", withougt leaving the channel you're in.
- 'Go There' be taken to directly to the channel where the event originated.

Updated

◆ The app's own custom notification panel has been retired for users of iOS 10.0. It was originally added because versions previous to iOS 10 did not support local notifications for a foreground app. See above for support of iOS 10 notifications.
◆ The channel settings dialog has had a makeover.
◆ I couldn't get the built-in sounds to work with iOS 10 notifications (tried for days). They are no longer available, but there are many new app specific sounds.
◆ The title of the messages pane now gives the name of the server when the server is selected, instead of simply 'server'.
◆ The system status bar (eg. top of screen, shows battery, wifi, time etc.) has made a return.
◆ Completely eplaced the networking socket handling engine.
◆ The input text field now shows more informative placeholder text when empty. It is also now left aligned.
◆ Removed validation of nickname and usernames, with the exception that spaces still flag a validation error. Servers follow the specs very loosely and this is best left to each server to let you know what you can and can't do.
◆ Notifications informing you that the app will be frozen in the background no longer pile up in the notification center. You'll only see the mose recent one. (iOS 10+ only)
◆ Nickname and username fields will no longer be validated in the server settings dialog, leaving validation to the server. The exception is spaces. Spaces in either will generate an error message.

Fixed

◆ A server would only 'Stay Connected' if 'Connect Automatically' was also selected.
◆ Sometimes when joining a channel, the list of users was not updated until the channel name was tapped on in the left pane.
◆ Sometimes the selected channel name would lose its highlight in the channel pane.
◆ The text field in the user management view was sometimes black text on a black background.
◆ All servers that were set to 'Stay Connected', were connecting when the app cames to the foreground, even when they were not connected when the app was backgrounded.
◆ Servers are now sorted case insensitive in the channel panel.
◆ A server that was repeatedly attempting to connect, repeatedly pulled you away from the server/channel you were already in.
◆ The selected channel could become unhighlighted in the channel list.

◆ Many other enhancements, fixes, stability improvements.
